Hillsborough Young Farmers Club will be holding their Tractor Pull at the Northern Ireland Ploughing Championships 2026, in association with the Northern Ireland Ploughing Association! Taking place on Saturday 26th September at 20 Ballyknock Road, Hillsborough, BT26 6EF. Registration and weigh in will be open from 8.30am, with the competition getting underway at 10.00am. Entry is £40 per class, payable by cash on the day. There will be 6 weight classes: under 5.5 tonnes; 5.5 tonnes to less than 7.5 tonnes; 7.5 tonnes to less than 8.5 tonnes; 8.5 tonnes to less than 10.5 tonnes; 10.5 tonnes to less than 12.5 tonnes; and 12.5 tonnes and over. Spaces are limited, so competitors are encouraged to get their entries in early. Online entries close at 10.00am on Thursday 24th September, or earlier if all spaces are filled.

There will be plenty happening throughout the day including tractor ploughing, horse ploughing, a static vehicle display, machinery demonstrations, trade, craft and artisan stands, children’s activities, and a variety of food and refreshments. Spectator admission is £10 per adult, payable by cash on the day, with children admitted free.
