TOM MAKES IT A HAT-TRICK OF EUROPEAN CROWNS
Tom Cochrane from Coleraine has been crowned European Reversible Ploughing Champion for the 3rd time winning the event held in Belgium.
Thomas, who won the event in 2007 in England & France in 2011 was unbeaten during the weekend’s event winning gold medals in both days ploughing. Tom edged home favourite Roel Cuyvers by 3 points on the first days ploughing with another Belgium ploughman Niels Marien back in 3rd. On the second, and final day of the contest, Tom stretched his lead to win the another gold medal, finishing 11 points ahead of Liam O'Drisscoll (ROI). Tom's aggregate score of 421 points meant he took the title by 15 points from Cuyvers. Marien finished in the bronze position with O'Drisscoll in 4th.
